LOUISE PALMACCIO CASSESE

GOLDSBORO -- Louise Palmaccio Cassese, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Louise was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Sept. 18, 1922, to the late Louis Palmaccio and Rose Scutari Palmaccio. She was married to the late Joseph Cassese.

Louise was a homemaker, and a member of Resurrection Ascension Catholic Church in Queens, N.Y.

Louise was a loving grandmother and took great enjoyment in her family.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, N.Y.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her daughter at 505 Antioch Road, Goldsboro, N.C. A brief service will follow the visitation.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Rosemarie Diorio of Goldsboro and Colette Daab and husband, Alan, of East Meredith, N.Y.; son, Benjamin Cassese and wife, Ingrid, of Bay Shore, N.Y.; sisters, Helen Dell-Aquila of Huntingon Station, N.Y., and Mary Albanese of Rye, N.Y.; grandchildren, Mary Louise Gambella, Alan R. Daab Jr., Juliane Koehler, Brian Daab, Jennifer Zoppel, Gregory Cassese, Frank Diorio, Vincent Diorio Jr., Michelle Barefoot and Roseanne Diorio; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debra Lee Diorio Glance, and also great-grandchildren, Andrew and Anthony Diorio.
