ANDREWS, S.C. -- Gary Dean Dail, 47, husband of Glennie Hodge Dail, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Born May 28, 1962, in Goldsboro, N.C., he was a son of Donald Glanton Dail and Janet Roberts Byrd.

Mr. Dail was a member of Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a partner in 3D Metal Works.

As a Mason with the Harpers Masonic Lodge No. 225 AFM, he accomplished many degrees as a Mason to achieve the goal of becoming a member of the Omar Shrine Temple in Mount Pleasant.

Survivors include his wife; parents; maternal grandmother, Estene Roberts; a daughter, Jennifer Dail Carter (Johnnie); two brothers, Donny Dail (Ellen) and Bobby Dail (Doralynn); two sisters, Kim Cooper (Derrell) and Gloria Cannon (Rusty); a granddaughter, Paisley Caydence Carter; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dail was preceded in death by his stepfather, James R. "Jimmy" Byrd, and maternal grandfather, Rodell Roberts.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Billy Miles officiating. Burial followed in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.

The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Jackson, Billy Byrdic, Ivan Rutledge, Wendell Seward, Sammy Byrdic, Steve Causey, Jimmy, McCants and John Moschgat.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tara Hall, 510 Tara Hall Road, Georgetown, S.C., 29440, or Falcon Children's Home, P.O. Box 39, Falcon, N.C., 28342.
