L. T. "TOM" SWINSON

MOUNT OLIVE -- Larry Thomas "Tom" Swinson, 70, of Holloman St., passed away at his residence Friday morning.

A funeral service will be held this evening at 6 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Draper and Mr. David Francis officiating. A committal service will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service this evening.

He was the son of the late James and Bertha Swinson. Mr. Swinson served in the United States Army and was a past Branch Manager of Nations Credit. Tom was currently working for the town of Mount Olive Parks and Recreation Department.

Tom is survived by a son, Thomas Swinson Jr. and wife, Wilma, of Faison; a daughter, Laura Taylor of Mount Olive; the mother of his children, Lib Swinson of Mount Olive; a brother, Bud Swinson of Fayetteville; four sisters, Evelyn Malpass of Faison, Betty Webber and husband, Clayton, of Indian Springs, Velma Price of Seven Springs, and Faye Taylor and husband, Buddy, of Mount Olive; a sister-in-law, Kay Swinson of Mount Olive; and five grandchildren, Alyssa Weaver, Joshua Edinger, Austin Taylor, Justin Swinson, and Elizabeth Taylor.
