EUGENE WORRELLS

June 14, 1944-May 25, 2010

Eugene Worrells, 65, was called home Tuesday morning.

He was born in Wayne County to Ethel B. Rodgers and Kennon Worrells Sr. Eugene attended Central Heights School of Wayne County. He was also employed at Borden Manufacturing for a number of years, followed by farming.

The memories of Eugene will be cherished by his wife, Lucille Frederick Worrells; two daughters, Nora Mae Worrells of Durham, and Twain Worrells of Queens, N.Y.; two sons, Mike Worrells and Paul Worrells, both of Goldsboro; three sisters, Rose Mary (Joe) Spruill, Sylvia Worrells, JoAnn Worrells, all of Goldsboro; one brother, Sylvester Worrells of Raleigh; five aunts, Beatrice Jackson, Retha Hall, Nettie Lewis, of Goldsboro, Mamie Johnson of Harrisburg, Pa., Inex Wooten of LaGrange; two uncles, George Worrells Jr. of LaGrange, Freddie Worrells of Dudley; three sisters-in-law, Adell Hamilton and Gloria Jean Worrells of Goldsboro, Vera Mae Worrells of Dudley; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 until 6 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, of Goldsboro. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at noon at Old Mill Cemetery. The family will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession at the home of JoAnn Worrells at 603 S. Audobon Ave. The family will also receive relatives and friends at the home following the graveside service.
