FAYETTEVILLE -- Mother Geneva Langston Coley, 96, Highland House Nursing Home, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away Monday.

The triumphant homegoing service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Guiding Star United Holy Church, with pastor Joseph Williams officiating. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.

A wealth of precious memories are cherished by her grandchildren, James William Lewis of Richmond, Va., Edna McKoy and husband, Roger, elder Ruby Hines and husband, Michael, of Fayetteville, Linda Wilson and husband, Ellis, pastor Willie Lewis and wife, Easter, of Goldsboro, pastor Charles Lewis and wife, Lisa, of Winterville and Theresa Lewis of Bowie, Md.; and sisters, Glennie Rowe and Emma Young of Goldsboro.

The family will receive during an inspirational wake Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Guiding Star United Holy Church. The family will receive friends at other times at 109 Wintergreen Place, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
