Evelyn Jones Heidenreich went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday.
A funeral service will be conducted in Wilkerson Funeral Chapel at 10 am Thursday. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Heidenreich, a native of Pitt County, spent most of her life in Greenville, but lived the last 11 years in Goldsboro.
She graduated from East Carolina Teacher's College with a degree in business and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Business Society.
She worked for the Department of Social Services of Pitt County and retired as a quality control coordinator with the state division of social services.
Mrs. Heidenreich was a member of the Greenville Women of the Moose and New Hope Friends Church in Goldsboro. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Heidenreich of Greenville and Jan Fly and husband, Ron, of Goldsboro; son, Jim Heidenreich and wife, Jo, of Goldsboro; and grandsons, Jimmy Heidenreich of Charlotte, Josh Heidenreich of Wilmington and Matt Lamm and fiancee, Brandy Frazao, of Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Heidenreich was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Heidenreich; and two sisters, Thelma Dodds and Sarah Mae Jones.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Friends Church, 4451 U.S. 70 East in Goldsboro.
The family greatly appreciates the compassionate and loving care she received from Sterling House of Goldsboro.
