Madessie Jessie Davis, 84, formerly of 1028 Clarridge Nursery Road, died Sunday at Britt Haven of Goldsboro.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Pearson St. in Goldsboro, with pastor Ezekiel Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Ms. Davis is survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen Davis and Edna Davis of Goldsboro; a niece, Ethel Davis; four nephews, Floyd Davis Jr. of Raleigh, Cleveland Jr., Melvin and Kevin Davis of Goldsboro; and other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St. in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at 318 E. Spruce St. in Goldsboro.
