CAROLINA BEACH -- Mary Lucille Lloyd Herring, 84, died Monday morning at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive, with pastor Tim Strickland officiating.
She and Mr. Herring were former residents of the Mount Olive area, having operated Willie Ray Herring Store before retiring to Carolina Beach, where they operated a game room and arcade.
Mrs. Herring is survived by her husband, Willie Ray Herring; two sons, Harold Mabe of Mount Olive and Jerry Mabe of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manly and Bessie Bowman Lloyd.
The family will receive friends at the Harold Mabe residence at 1323 O'Berrry Road in Mount Olive.
Arrangements are with Tyndall Funeral Home of Mount Olive.
