ANNIE A. SLUSSER

Died April 15, 2010

AURORA, Colo. -- Annie Anderson Slusser, 95, was taken to Heaven Thursday to be with her Lord while living with her daughter.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Annie was born in Wayne County to the late Louie Anderson and Leatha Williams Anderson. She was married to the late Maurice Slusser.

Annie worked for 35 years with Weils Department Store and attended Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Annie is survived by a daughter, Carol Pridemore and husband, Robert, of Colorado; two sisters, Irene McDaniels of Maryland and Joyce Williams of Goldsboro; a brother, Raymond Anderson of Dudley; four grandsons, Brian Pridemore and Brad Pridemore of Colorado and Kevin Slusser and Shawn Slusser of California; a stepgranddaughter, Leigh Dunn of California; her daughter-in-law, Karen Slusser of California; and 23 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Slusser; her sister, Lillie Maye Jackson; and three brothers, Willie Edgar "Bill" Anderson, Russell Anderson and Luther Earl "Cotton" Anderson.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Joyce Williams, 104 Beyer St. in Goldsboro.
