EMMA LEE FIELDS PATE

April 21, 1932-March 4, 2010

Emma Lee Fields Pate, 77, passed away on Thursday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Oak Forest Church of Christ with the Rev. Lennie Reagan officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Mrs. Pate was born in Greene County on April 21, 1932, to the late William Owen Fields and Carrie Hill Fields. She will be remembered as a special mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Pate is survived by three daughters, Janet Turnage and husband, Ray, of Mount Olive, Maria Morales and husband, Carlos, of Sumter, S.C., and Dolores Turnage and husband, David, of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren, Eric Zielinski and wife, Amie, of Fayetteville, Cynthia Turnage of Culpeper, Va., Consuelo Keller and husband, Jon, of Savannah, Ga., Dolores Morales of Sumter, S.C., Carlos Morales Jr. of Sumter, S.C., Chrystopher Lane of Mount Olive, Tommy Turnage of Mount Olive and Chrystal Mead and husband, Paul, of Asheville; one great-grandchild, Chris Fucili of Pin Hook; and a special friend, Pepi, her poodle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Oak Forest Church of Christ, 2705 North Park Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
