CLINTON -- Deacon Johnnie Lee Cox, 70, 1003 Auctioneer Road, died Sunday at home.
Funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Clinton, with pastor Garland Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Clinton.
He was born in Sampson County March 20, 1940, to the late Deacon Junious Cox and Martha Ellis Fryar Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Lonnie Ashford Cox of the home; a daughter; and two sons.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Hope Valley Funeral Service chapel and at other times at 1003 Auctioneer Road.
