FREMONT-- Wendell Douglas "Robbie" Robinson, 67, passed away suddenly Monday in Spartanburg, S.C.

Robbie was born in Gouverneur, N.Y., on August 30, 1942, to the late George Robinson and Lila Jackson Robinson. He was a longtime truck driver having worked for LaValle Transportation. Robbie served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Huffman officiating.

Robbie is survived by his wife, Birgit Peter Robinson; his sons, Michael Robinson of Pikeville and Peter Robinson of Fremont; his daughter, Christine Rolfe of Watertown, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchildren, and his brother, Wayne Robinson.

The family will receive friends tonight following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
