Lisa Marie Myers, 17, Dobbersville Road, died Monday evening from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Linda Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Friends Cemetery.
She was born in Wayne County to Joseph Todd Cenate Sr. and D'anna Ramirez.
A junior at Southern Wayne High School, she was #20 on the varsity basketball team and was active in Future Farmers of America. While a student at Grantham School, she was #00 on the softball team and was #14 on the Grantham soccer team. She loved playing sports and taking care of her animals.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, JoeJoe Cenate Jr. of Mount Olive; one sister, Ashley Cenate of Goldsboro; and her beloved dog, Rosie Cenate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
