John Eddie Braswell, 72, 159 Friendly Drive, died Saturday at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. St. Joseph's Free Will Baptist Church. A private interment will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Zelda Cox Braswell, of the home, and four children.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
