Died Nov. 17, 2009

Dorothy P. Faulk, 113 Friendswood Drive, was called home in the early morning hours of Tuesay.

Funeral services, with family visitation following, will be held Thursday in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating, with a graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery Friday at 11 a.m.

She resided with her daughter, Cathy, and husband, Durwood Singleton, who had served as her primary caregivers for the last 27 years.

Dorothy was a long-time member of Falling Creek Baptist Church and received regular visits and support from the Willing Works Sunday school class. She was also comforted and loved by members of Love Memorial Baptist Church, who considered her a part of their church family.

She is survived by her children, Donna Robbins and husband, Tim, Lex Faulk, Cathy Singleton and husband, Durwood, Barbara Parrish, Hank Faulk and wife, Sue, and Jo Watkins and husband, Pete; grandchildren, Jeremy Singleton and wife, Michelle, Natasha Jones and husband, Sam, David Faulk, Tina Faulk, Scott Parrish, Rhonda Parrish, Justin Parrish, Barbara Ann Parrish, Jessica Faulk and Tiffany Watkins; nine great-grandchildren, including four special helpers, who were in and out of her daily life and provided much love and comfort, Dawson Jones, Gabriel Jones, Lucas Jones and Anna Marie Singleton.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Evelyn Putnam; her husband of 26 years, Robert C. Faulk; son, David N. Faulk; and grandson, Cameron T. Robbins.

The family would like to recognize Home Health and Hospice of Goldsboro, who cared for Dorothy for 27 years with a special thanks to Lupa Wynn, Michelle H. Craig, Lisa T. Reedy and Judy Carroll.

In addition and more recently, thanks to the doctors and staff of Johnston Therapeutic Wound Center and Dr. Sam McLamb and staff of Goldsboro Medical Specialists.

The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, 113 Friendswood Drive in Goldsboro.
