PIKEVILLE -- Esther Smith, 85, 1524 Airport Road, peacefully slipped away into eternity Friday morning at her residence.
Her life and works will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at White Oak Original Free Will Baptist Church. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in Coley Cemetery.
Precious and endearing memories are treasured by her loving children, Bennie Smith, Keith Smith, Patricia Carter, Geraldine McClune, Delores Smith, Brenda Newman, Evelyn Reid, Lorea Glenda Ford and Earlene Lamb, and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
