MOUNT OLIVE -- Edward W. "Ed" Holmes Sr., 94, a resident of Glen-Care, formerly of Garner's Chapel Road, died early today at Kitty Askins Hospice in Goldsboro.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Tyndall Funeral Chapel with visitation following. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Mark Hobbs officiating.
Mr. Holmes was the son of the late Charles and Daisy Scott Holmes.
He is survived by one son.
