BRUCE S. GRICE SR.

Bruce Simeon Grice Sr., 89, passed away Monday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard "Dick" Lewis officiating. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Bruce was born in Calypso Feb. 19, 1920, to the late Jesse Raeford Grice and Annie Sloan Grice.
He served as a captain in the United States Air Force during World War II. Bruce retired as an executive officer with the County of Wayne.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Alleene Johnston Grice; his sons, Bruce S. Grice Jr. and John R. Grice both of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC, 27534, or First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC, 27530.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service.
