ISABELLE M. HOLLAND

Isabelle Matthews Holland, 90, passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A service of remembrance will be held tonight at 7 at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. T.C. West officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Holland was born Aug. 15, 1919, in Wilson County to the late Wiley and Mamie Hayes Matthews. She was the wife of the late Norman Joseph Holland and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Holland worked for more than 30 years at General Electric.

Mrs. Holland is survived by two daughters, Shirley Sutton and husband, Billy, of LaGrange and Hope Houston and husband, Glenn, of LaGrange; six grandchildren, Roger Sutton and wife, Terri, of LaGrange, Woody Sutton and wife, Dee, of LaGrange, Randy Sutton of Miami, Fla., Patrick Houston of Greenville, Heather Houston of Boston, Mass., and Elaine Cooke and husband, Marshall, of LaGrange; four sisters, Daisy Tarr of Baltimore, Md., Doris Dale of Wilson, Ruth Summerlin and husband, Willie, of Elm City and Jean Bunn and husband, Roney, of Rock Ridge; brother, Wiley Hayes Matthews of Wilson; sister-in-law, Ruby Thornton and husband, George, of Goldsboro; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends following the service of remembrance and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sutton, 424 LaGrange Road in LaGrange.
