KINSTON -- Gary Lee Wooten 50, 504 Airport Road, departed this life Friday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

A service of remembrance will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro, with Dr. Kenneth Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Sophia Wooten of the home; two children, Natasha Moore of Aberdeen, Md., and Maurice Moore of Fort Washington, Md.; adopted son, Josiah Coward of Kinston; four sisters, Ida Hooks, Deboroah Richardson (Charles) and Vickie Rudd all of Goldsboro and Sharon Bodie (Rickey) of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Kenneth Pearsall (Minnie) of Dudley and James Pearsall of Goldsboro; and eight grandchildren, Anthony, Deja, Ameir, Anayha, Nakaya, Nakieea, Alana and Amira.

A viewing will be held today from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are with Swinson Funeral Service.
