AUDREY V. VAGLIENTI

March 1, 1934-Sept. 17, 2009

MOREHEAD CITY -- Audrey Vinson Vaglienti, 75, of 2900 Myrtle St., died Thursday at Carteret General Hospital.

Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Vinson Family Cemetery.

Audrey was born on March 1, 1934 in Wayne County to the late Edward D. Vinson and Minnie Taylor Vinson. She was a retired LPN, having worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital, the office of Dr. Thomas Benton, O'Berry Center and Cherry Hospital. Audrey was a 1952 graduate of Goldsboro High School and was also a graduate of the LPN program at Wayne Community College. She was an avid fisherman and an excellent cook. Audrey loved music and dance. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Moncille Vaglienti Thomas of North Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandson, Dylan Thomas of North Myrtle Beach, SC; her great-grandson, Jace Thomas of North Myrtle Beach, SC; her brother, Russell Vinson of Goldsboro and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie Jo Vaglienti; her brothers, Edward C. Vinson and Durwood Peele and her sister, Ruby Vinson.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.

The family received friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
