JAMES B. TYNDALL

James Berry Tyndall, 78, passed away Saturday evening at Wake Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Masonic Rites.

James was born in Greene County Dec. 15, 1930, to the late Levy Tyndall and Esther Mitchell Tyndall.

He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and retired as a tobacco inspector with the United States federal government. James enjoyed raising cattle and hogs on his farm and was a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite and was a Shriner.

James is survived by his wife, Bessie Shirley Tyndall; his daughter, Phyllis Williamson and husband, John, of Dudley; his son, Jim B. Tyndall II of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Leea Williamson and Jason Moore; and his brother, Bob Tyndall of Raleigh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Gurganus, and his brothers, Pete Tyndall, Mike Tyndall and Nelson Tyndall.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
