NEWARK, N.J. -- Johnny William "Bud" Fryar, 15 Hill St., died Monday at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
The funeral was held Saturday at noon at Holly Grove Disciple of Christ Church in Clinton, with elder Fernando Geddie officiating. Burial followed in Cobb Family Cemetery in Faison.
Johnny was born in Sampson County to the late Lee and Lillie White Fryar.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Fryar of Faison, and a daughter.
A viewing was held Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m. at Hope Valley Funeral Service and Cremation in Clinton.
