AL C. LUCAS

Al Clifton Lucas, 68, of 302 Lorease Drive, Dudley, peacefully departed this mortal sojourn Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lucas, a native of Spring Hope, was a graduate of Spaulding High School and Elizabeth City State University. He was a member of First African Missionary Baptist and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. His teaching career began at the Norwayne School in Fremont and later as group home director at O'Berry Center.

Eulogistic services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First African Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Louis Leigh officiating. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in the Wayne Memorial Park.

Loving memories are cherished by his devoted wife, Frazelle Cooke Lucas of the home, and his daughters Kimberely Dark of Garner and Charryse Byrd of Charlotte.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
