A celebration of life for Mr. James "Head" Davis, 94, of 806 Harris St., who passed Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at his home will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at St. Mark Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church with Bishop Alton Smith officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Wayne Memorial Park North.
He was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Duplin County to the late Alillie Davis. He leaves his wife, Ora Mae Simmons-Davis, to cherish his loving memory. There will be an inspirational wake held tonight from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be posted at www.rhodesfuneralhome.net.
