TURKEY -- Esther F. Hines, 86, of 3850 New Hope Church Road, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton, with the Revs. Ernest Mason and Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hollingsworth-Hines Family Cemetery in Turkey.
Mrs. Hines, born in Nash County, was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Eatmon Finch and was the widow of James L. Hines Jr. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, James "Jimmy" L. Hines III, and wife, Sherry, of Turkey; a daughter, Judy Hudson and husband, Kenn, of Goldsboro; caretakers, Peggy Hardison and Janice Wallace.
The family will receive friends following the service this afternoon and other times at the home, 3850 New Hope Church Road, Turkey.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
