FREMONT -- John Charles Brooks, 53, passed away Saturday at his home.
No formal service will be held.
John was born in Lubbock, Texas, Dec. 28, 1955, to John Jasper Brooks and Eugenia Rohr Brooks.
He was a truck driver and was vice president of Rohr Chemicals.
John was also involved with the Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary of the United States Air Force, and was the recipient of the Amelia Earhart Award and the Billy Mitchell Award.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his son, John Charles Brooks; his daughters, Marie Eugenia Brooks, Cheryl Rae Brooks and Darlene Frances Brooks Schroeder; his brother, Jerry Brooks; and his sisters, Vikki Blalock and Jenny Jaber.
