EARLENA B. HINSON

Earlena Bowen Hinson, 91, passed away suddenly on Monday, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Earlena was born in Wilson County on Oct. 25, 1917, to the late Fallie Bowen and Emma Coley Bowen. She was married to the late Lewis Allen Hinson. Earlena worked for many years with Edward Jones Investments.

She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson. At other times, the family will be at the home, 610 Gloucester Road, Goldsboro.

Earlena is survived by her sisters, Ella Lomastro of Chicago and Barbara Renfrow of Wilson; her brothers, Henry Bowen of Neptune Beach, Fla., Gene Bowen and wife, Betsy, of Morehead City and Mac Bowen and wife, Judy, of Clayton; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by dear friends, Al and Joy Beth Whitfield and Laura.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Bowen and Woodrow Bowen.
