BESSIE JANE PARRISH POTTS

Bessie Jane Parrish Potts, 68, passed away at the home of her family on Saturday.

Bessie was born in Wayne County on Aug. 26, 1940, to the late Forrest "Little Babe" Parrish and Louis Virginia Malpass.

Funeral services will be held at Bethel Church on Monday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Harvey Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Brogden Cemetery.

Mrs. Potts is survived by her husband, Hugh Norman Potts; her daughters, Ginger Daniels, and husband, Billy, Debbie Mitchell, Nancy Potts, Shirley Peek, Mary Horne, and Angie Holmes, and husband, Michael, all of Goldsboro. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Anthony Tilghman, and wife, Rhonda, Wayne Earl Potts Jr., Miranda Potts, Wynter Potts, Brittany Thompson, Hanna Horne, Brandon Holmes, Austin Holmes, Jared Tilghman, Hunter Langston, Julie Rose, and Harlan Daniels. Mrs. Potts is survived by her sister; Ruby Donahue and husband, John, of Iowa; and her brothers; James Parrish, and Joe Parrish and wife, Angie, of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends following the committal service at Brogden Cemetery and at other times at the residence, 604 Third St., Goldsboro.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
