Nathaniel "Nate" Coley, 90, went to his eternal rest Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with pastor Joe A. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

A viewing will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A wake will be held Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the services.

Nathaniel was born in Wayne County to the late William Henry and Sarah Best Coley Coor.

He was a graduate of Central High School and was retired from Cherry Hospital with more than 30 years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by 16 of the 17 siblings of the Coley-Coor Family.

Fond memories will be cherished by his wife, the former Inez Buckrham of the home; two daughters, Linda Carlton (William) of Roswell, Ga., and Robin Cobb (Fletcher) of Washington D.C.; two sons, Alvin Coley (Helen) of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Henry Coley of the home; one special niece, Rosa Coley Thompson, whom he reared; two sisters-in-law; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.

The family will receive friends at 309 Hemlock St., where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral.
