Andrew Ray Waddell, 74, of 120 Sleepy Creek Drive, Dudley, passed away Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial Service will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
He was born in Harnett County. To the late James and Ruby Waddell and was married to Jacqueline "Jackie" Waddell.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven Waddell of Dudley; a daughter, Debra Stratton and husband, Billy, of Southport; a brother, David L. Waddell and wife, Gail, of Fuquay-Varina; five grandchildren, Michael Stratton, Ashley Wilson and husband, James, Jerimiah Waddell, Jessica Stratton, and Cody Stratton; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla Stratton, Leila Thomas, Colton Stratton and Kelsie Waddell.
The Waddell family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the children's hospital of your choice.
