HERBERT L. HODGES
Died Oct. 30, 2006
WARSAW - Herbert Lee Hodges, 76, 714 E. Hill St., died Monday at Guardian Care of Kenansville.
He was born in Duplin County to the late Thomas Henry Hodges, Sr. and Hopie Smith Hodges.
Funeral service will be Saturday at noon at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw, with Dr. Arthur Best officiating. Interment will follow in Middleton Cemetery, Warsaw.
Mr. Hodges received his education in the Duplin County Public Schools and was a member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw. He was owner and operator of Hodges Taxi Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one daughter, Leshia "Robin" Parker of Warsaw; two sons, Diron Sutton of New Bern and Willie Frederick of Warsaw; and four grandchildren.
Viewing will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
