JAMES L. JOHNSON

James L. Johnson, 84, 706 Rosewood Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Bostian officiating.
Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Mack and Rena Thompson Johnson. A member of Rosewood First Baptist Church, he was retired from Pepsi-Cola after 42 years of service.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Eva Witherington Johnson; two sons, Don Russell Johnson and wife, Jo, of Charlotte and James Gerald Johnson and wife, Susan, of Currituck; grandchildren, James and Joanna Johnson of Charlotte, Joseph and Nicole Johnson of Syracuse, N.Y., Kim and Walter Denby of Currituck, Patrick and Vanessa Johnson of Charleston, S.C., Brandon Johnson of Currituck and Dean and Rene Dowdy of Moyock; great-grandchildren, Zach-ary Johnson, Kaitlyn and Korbyn Denby, Evan Johnson and Ayla Johnson.
Family members will greet friends at noon on Friday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
