The funeral for Barbara J. Swinson, 65, 1002 S. Claiborne St., was held Friday at noon at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Elder James Collins officiating. Burial was in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Emmett Swinson Sr. of the home; her mother, Alethia Lewis of Goldsboro; four sons, Corey Lewis, Emmett Swinson Jr., Ronald Faison of Rocky Mount and Donald Faison of New Haven, Conn.; a daughter, Angie Pugh of Inglewood, N.J.; four brothers, Willie J. Lewis, James P. Black of Goldsboro, Kenneth Lewis of Winston-Salem and Marvin Nance of Longs, S.C.; two sisters, Queen E. Coley of Goldsboro and Lucinda Reynolds of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.

The viewing was held Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home.
