LEROY ARMWOOD

The funeral for Leroy Armwood, 67, 1020 Thompson Ave., will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Greater Six Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Morrisey officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Clinton.
Mr. Armwood died Saturday at his home.
He was born in Sampson County to the late Doctor C. and Martha Armwood Morrisey. He was a retired asphalt operator with the Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Armwood of the home; two sons, Anthony Armwood of Turkey and Terrell Armwood of Clinton; two daughters, Priscilla Gavin of Faison and Michelle King of Clinton; three sisters, Quessie Faison, Joyce Faison and Macy Bruton of Brooklyn, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
The viewing will be held today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m. to receive friends.
