JAMES A. HARE

James Aubrey Hare, 72, of 119 Fulton Rd. died Wednesday at the Brian Center of Goldsboro.

Mr. Hare was born in Goldsboro, to the late Ivey and Sophia Hare. He was retired from Kemp Furniture, and attended The First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Hare was a member of the Lions Club and a former member of the MarMac Volunteer Fire Department. He was last employed with Edwards Truck Service.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and Rev. Bill Rose officiating Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Hare; two daughters, Pat Hare of Mar Mac and Teresa Harrell and husband, Bill of Mar Mac; a granddaughter, Jamie Richards and husband, Bradley of Goldsboro; and a great-granddaughter, Tommi Gray Richards. He is also survived by two step-children, Debbie Morrisette and husband, James of Virginia and Dwayne Sauls and wife, Cam of Southport; two step-grandchildren, Adam Sauls of Wilmington and Erica Sauls of Southport; and his faithful companion, Walker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Hare and a sister, Geneva Worrell.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or the Mar Mac Volunteer Fire Department, 583 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
