GEORGE WALKER

LaGrange - Mr. George Ernest Walker, 57, died Saturday afternoon at his home.
Mr. Walker was born in Wayne County to Emma Jean Butts Walker of Goldsboro and the late Ernest Walker. He had worked in quality control for ExCel Linde and had also worked as a hairstylist.
A service to celebrate his life will be held tonight at 7:30 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Billy Parker; his sisters, Deborah Overton and husband, George, of LaGrange and Grace Janine Walker of LaGrange; his niece and nephews, Samantha Price McLaughlin and husband, Matt, Brian Price and Jimmy Walker Jr.; his great-nephew, Matt McLaughlin Jr.; his aunts and uncles, Rose and Lonnie Champlin and George and Loretta Butts.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Lee Walker; his grandparents, Grace and George Butts; and his uncle, Archie Butts.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 until 7:30 at Seymour Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of his sister, Deborah Overton, 934 Mark Edwards Road, LaGrange.
