HAMPSTEAD -- Frances Ginn Williams, 91, died Sunday at Woodberry Wellness Center.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Williams was born in Richmond, Va., Oct. 18, 1914, to the late Owen F. Ginn and Mary Dowdy Ginn. She was married to the late Paul Nawkum Williams, Sr.
She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Owen R. Williams and wife, Alice, of Surf City; her daughter-in-law, Betty Williams Saunders of Hampstead; her sister, Grace Jones of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Lisa Gilley, Lori Williams, Paul N. Williams III, Jimmy Crawford, Timothy Crawford, O. Richard Williams Jr., Angela Faye Sutton and Brian D. Williams; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul N. Williams Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn F. Crawford; sisters, Thelma Robertson, Evelyn Mitchell and Virginia Woodard; and brothers, Cleveland Ginn and Owen F. Ginn Jr.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, 28401, or to Providence United Methodist Church, 202 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro, 27534.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
