MOUNT OLIVE -- William Davis "Bill" Jones, 72, of 407 Steele St., Mount Olive, died Sunday morning at his home.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. today at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive. Pastors Doug Bartlett and Jimmy Swinson will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church at the conclusion of the service, and at other times at the home. An entombment committal service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Son of the late Duffy and Elgie Jernigan Jones, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1956 to 1958. He was a life-long member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive, and was the well-known owner and operator of Bill's Body Repair in Mount Olive.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean (B.J.) Price Jones of the home; a daugher, Dean Jones Dunn of Mount Olive; a son and daughter-in-law, Robin Davis and Teresa Jones of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Summer Dunn and her friend, Dex Jackson, both of Mount Olive, Brooks Jones and his friend, Brittany Johnson, both of Mount Olive, Stephanie Crawford and her husband, Matt, of Pikeville, and their children, Payson and Miranda; a sister and brother-in-law, Lena J. and Kenneth Price of Goldsboro; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Linda Jones of Kinston, Elvin "Puddin" and Joyce Jones of Mount Olive and Charles Ray Jones of Mount Olive; sisters-in-law, Lovey P. Holloman of Mount Olive, widow of Alton Holloman, of Mount Olive, Hilda P. Cotton and her husband, Kenny, of Goldsboro; brothers-in-law, Linwood Price and his wife, Shelby, of Seven Springs, Carlton Price of Goldsboro, and Warren Price and his wife, Carol, of Raleigh; and close friends of the family, Ronnie and Donna Allen and family of Goldsboro, Oscar Lambert and family of Mount Olive, Casey and John Anderson of Faison and Chris Barefoot of Mount Olive.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be directed to First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive Building Fund, 130 Ed Edmundson Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.

Arrangements are being handled by Tyndall Funeral Home.
