Mallie Vee "Mu" Vick, 79, of 607 Wayne Avenue, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Eastern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Orlander Vick will officiate.. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Vick was a native of Goldsboro and was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ocie Boykin. She was the widow of James Allen "Speedy" Vick and was a homemaker.
She is survived by eight daughters, Ann Smith and Betty Davis of Dudley; Linda Jones of Mount Olive, and Sharon Braswell, Marion Cannon, Sonja Vick, Annette Vick and Shirley Horner of Goldsboro; seven sons, Thomas "Tom" Vick of Fremont and Curtis Vick, Timothy Vick, Ricky Vick, Earl Vick, Alvin "Ducie" Vick and James "Buddy" Vick of Goldsboro; one sister, Alice Pearl Cox of Goldsboro; three brothers, James Boykin, Thurman Boykin and Albert Boykin of White Plains, N.Y.; and 34 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Ray Vick and Edgar Lee Vick, and one daughter, Joyce Evelyn Smith.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 6 today at McIntyre Funeral Home.
