SNOW HILL -- William Haywood "Bill" Smith Jr., 41, of 1443 Peanut Road, died Thursday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Mr. Smith was born in Wayne County to Janet Forrest Smith and the late William H. Smith. He was a building contractor and was baptized in the Catholic Church.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Robin Crawford Smith; his sons, Blake and Hunter Smith, both of the home; and his maternal grandmother, Hilda Crawford of Goldsboro.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at noon at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Rose officiting.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
