MOUNT OLIVE -- Georgia Katherine Davis Oliver, a resident of SunBridge Nursing Home in Mount Olive, formerly of Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, passed away on July 27, 2006, after 92 years on this earth.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Jim Whitfield and Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Oliver was born in Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Faro and Emma Wiggs Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herman H. Oliver, and her daughter, Eileen Oliver Britt.

Mrs. Oliver was an active member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro for as long as she was able to attend, and was also active in the Women's Christian Temperance Union and the Ladies Prayer Meeting Group. She was retired from the McClellan's Store and was a housewife.

She is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews and special friends from her church.

Family members will greet friends today from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home of her niece, Chellie Oliver Loftin, 464 Baker Chapel Church Road, Mount Olive.

Flowers are welcome, and Mrs. Oliver requested that any donations in her memory be made to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
