HAYWOOD STEVENSON

LAGRANGE -- Haywood Thomas Stevenson, 66, of LaGrange and formerly of Glendale, California died Thursday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Stevenson was born in Pamlico County to the late George Washington Stevenson and Mary Lee Ollie Roebuck Stevenson. Mr. Stevenson worked with Weber's Bakery prior to retirement and was a former professional horse jockey.
No formal services will be held.
Mr. Stevenson is survived by his wife of forty seven years, Helen Moore Stevenson; sons, Haywood Thomas Stevenson Jr. of Glendale, Ca. and George Guilford Stevenson of Portland, Ore.; brother, George Washington Stevenson Jr. of Raleigh; sisters, Joyce Pateat of Marion and Elizabeth Pierce of Hickory and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
