HAZEL BURWOOD

July 3, 1930-June 14, 2006

Hazel Mildred Kelley Burwood, 75, died Wednesday at her son's home in Hemphill, Texas.

A native of Maine and a former resident of Goldsboro, she retired from Goldsboro Milling Company and was an accomplished seamstress. She was the daughter of the late Maurice Ray Kelley and Helen Estelle Ridley Kelley and the widow of Rodney P. Burwood.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Andy (Glenda) Clatone of Dudley; two sons, Werner Burwood of Hemphill, Texas, and Gene Burwood of Lakewood Ranch, Fla.; two sisters, Marilyn Virginia Baker and Doris Marie Young of Wilton, Maine; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will be under the direction of Starr Funeral Home of Texas and Haven of Rest Crematorium, Beaumont, Texas. A committal service will be held at a later date at the family cemetery in Wilton, Main.,

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Werner and Glenda Burwood's residence on Beckom Road in Hemphill, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Springfield Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, Mass., 01104, or the American Cancer Society; or the charity of the donor's choice.
