Died June 2, 2006
RALEIGH -- Glenn J. Bass, 44, of 4109 Lake Lynn Drive, Apt. 105, Raleigh, died Friday at Rex Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at Mt. Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka. The Reverends Pete Bass, Tim McFatter, and Clyde Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Eureka Cemetery.
Mr. Bass was born in Wayne County to Shirley Matthews Causway and the late Ray Bass. He was employed with Smith & Hawken in Raleigh, where he worked as an assistant manager.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Shirley Matthews Causway, and her husband, Lee Causway, of Wilson; sister, Sherrie Bass Mooring, and her husband, Michael K. Mooring, of Eureka; niece, Bridgett Mooring of Eureka; and nephew, Tyler Mooring of Eureka.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Alford Matthews and his wife Mildred Howell Matthews of Wilson; Charlie Bass and his wife, Ava Lane Bass of Eureka.
The family received friends Saturday at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cancer Center of North Carolina in care of Triangle Community Foundation at 4813 Emperor Blvd., Cambridge Hall, Suite 130, Durham, N.C. 27703.
