BOBBY E. STAFFORD

Bobby Edgar Stafford, 65, of 2980 U.S. 117 Hwy. South, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Stafford was born in Wayne County to the late Manley Eason Stafford and Bessie Lambert Stafford. He worked with Big Star Grocery Store for a number of years before retiring from Franklin Baking Company. He had attended Riverside Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Debby Marshall officiating. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Stafford is survived by one son, Robert Stafford, and his wife, Felicia, of Mount Olive; one stepson, Stephen Keith Johnson, and his wife, Kathy, of Goldsboro; one stepdaughter, Jerri Ann Barnett, and her husband, Randy, of Dudley; one sister, Judy Shipp, and her husband, Joseph, of Garner; one brother, Russell Stafford, and his wife, Shirley, of Newark, Del.; and his grandchildren, Nikki Lopes, Haley Stafford, Kim Fortson, Michael Fortson, Stephen Johnson and Tiffany Ault. He is also survived by his long-time companion, Peggy Malpass, and her family, Pat Henry of Dudley and George and Sarah Malpass of Whittier.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service on Thursday.
