TOMMY YELVERTON
July 20, 1933-April 4, 2006
Mr. Sidney Thomas "Tommy" Yelverton, 72, of 302 Hill Street, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side.
Mr. Yelverton was born in the Wayne County Community of Faro on July 20, 1933, to the late Atlas Leroy Yelverton and Lillian Scott Yelverton. He was a retired television technician.
Mr. Yelverton is survived by his wife, Cramier Davis Yelverton; his daughter, Cindy Yelverton Darwin and husband, Jeff, of Sleepy Creek; his sister, Betty Y. Kearney of Goldsboro; his sister-in-law, Ruby Kibben of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Yelverton and his sister, Reba Cannon.
The family requests no flowers, and if you wish to direct a memorial in his memory, they ask you to direct it to Duke University Medical Center for Research, P.O. Box 3814, Durham, NC 27710; or the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
