Keith Sloan Jr., 80, of 236 Falling Creek Lane, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Craig Langston officiating.
Mr. Sloan was born in Columbus County to the late Keith G. Sloan and Effie Pearl Wadsworth Sloan He was married to the late Esther Lovette Sloan. He was retired from civil service at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and was a member of Woodmen of the World and Falling Creek United Methodist Church.
Mr. Sloan is survived by his daughter, Judy S. Galey of Morganton; his sisters, Edna Davis of Calypso and Thelma Boone of Virginia Beach, Va.; his brothers, Erwin Sloan and Ruben Sloan of Merritt, N.C., and Daniel Sloan of Crystal River, Fla.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorri S. Miller and a son, Joel Kim Sloan; and his brother, Melvin Sloan.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home
