ELNORA P. WHETSELL

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mary Elnora Price Whetsell, 77, of Mount Olive, fell asleep in the Lord early Wednesday morning, March 22, 2006, after a lifetime of service. She was at the home of her son when death came.
A service to celebrate Elnora's life will be held Friday, March 24, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Salem Advent Christian Church (beside Tyndall Funeral Home.) Elnora will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park following the service. Pastor Richard Hathaway will officiate.
Elnora was born in Mount Olive, the daughter of John and Vivian Bell Price. She was employed with Southern Bank and Trust Co. and also Eastern Mount Olive Water System as a bookkeeper. Elnora was a member of Salem Advent Christian Church in Mount Olive.
Elnora is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Whetsell, and his wife, Brenda, of Mount Olive and G. Ray Whetsell and his wife, Debbie, of Goldsboro; two grandsons, John T. Whetsell, and his wife, Amanda, and their son, Rilee, and Benjamin R. Whetsell. She is also survived by one sister, Doris Oates, and her husband, Hugh, of Mount Olive, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Price of Raleigh and two brothers-in-law, Albert Whetsell and wife Jean of Wilson and Bill Whetsell and wife Dorothy of Maryland.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Salem Advent Christian Church, 909 North Church Street, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
