DORIS R. SHINGLETON
STANTONSBURG -- Doris Rowe Shingleton, 83, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006.
She was a member of Mount Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka, American Legion Post #94 Auxiliary in Snow Hill, and was retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
She is survived by her husband, Carson L. Shingleton; a daughter, Deborah E. Burke (Robah) of Roxboro; grandsons, R.K. and Charles Burke of Roxboro; stepdaughter, Carol Hill of New Bern; step-grandson, Stanley Hill (Sherri) of Cary; step-great-granddaughters, Kristen, Katie and Kelly Hill of Cary; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, N., Wilson, conducted by the Reverends Clyde Johnson, James Medlin and Doug Nally. A time of visiting and sharing will follow. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Harrells Chapel Church, Highway 58, west of Snow Hill.
